General education: Teaching undergraduate students in Fisheries Sciences

(1) This laboratory conducts comprehensive and interdisciplinary education and research on marine and fisheries policies, regional development based on fisheries and ocean knowledge and techniques, social cooperation, and development of regional specific fishery resources through international contribution to realize societies that harmonize the conservation of marine ecosystems and sustainable socio-economic activities. In this recruitment, we are particularly seeking candidates who can contribute to solving the various challenges faced by the fisheries industry and small fishing towns in northern regions. This involves utilizing the multifaceted functions of the fisheries industry to foster social cooperation for its revitalization, as well as addressing issues related to the sustainability of the industry, such as fisheries management, labor forces, and economics.
Furthermore, we seek candidates who can offer interdisciplinary policy recommendations from diverse social science perspectives, including economics, history, and educational sciences, particularly related to the fisheries sector. We are also looking for candidates with outstanding experience in training the next generation of professionals in fisheries management and policy.
Additionally, we look forward to individuals who are eager to actively disseminate research results as educational information, engage in social education and outreach activities, contribute to university administration, and work towards achieving a sustainable society
